It’s becoming obvious in our hyper-partisan political environment that Democrats don’t want to lose gracefully. They want to engage in a scorched-earth campaign that will leave our system – and large parts of our country – in ashes if they can’t be in charge.
And ironically, the more they engage in this kind of behavior, the more they prove they can never be trusted with power again.
Last week the hyper-partisanship was on full display for the nation and the world to see as Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee engaged in full-throated character assassination against a man, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who has spent all of his academic and professional life preparing to become one of the most senior federal jurists in the land.
As each day passes and we learn more about the women who have accused him of some of the most heinous sexual acts known to humans, it becomes crystal clear that not only is Judge Kavanaugh not a Bill Cosby-like sex abuser and predator, he’s one of the most decent persons you’d ever meet. (Related: USA Today smears Kavanaugh, implying he’s a pedophile… this is the media that claims to have a monopoly on “facts.”)
But the Democratic Party has long since abandoned any pretense of fairness, decorum, tradition, or decency in their relentless, naked pursuit of raw power. They don’t care about what is and is not true regarding the Kavanaugh accusations. They oppose him because they oppose POTUS Trump and everything his Republican Party stands for so virulently they would see this good man and his family destroyed, along with anyone who supports him.
Following last week’s sham of a hearing featuring Kavanaugh preceded by his chief accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, somehow, some way, the home addresses and phone numbers of several Senate Republicans on the Judiciary Committee were published on their Wikipedia pages.
In modern vernacular, they were “doxxed” – their personal information (documents) published online so they could then be targeted by mobs of angry Left-wing Democratic supporters.
In the privacy of their homes.
This isn’t normal political behavior, though the Left – the Democrats – are certainly making it the new normal. Rest assured, these acts are not simply meant to be political statements. They are meant to physically endanger the lives of those who are targeted because their views about how to run the country within the parameters of the Constitution differ from those held by the mobs of angry Leftists. Them and their families.
Those doxxed included Sens. Mike Lee and Orrin Hatch of Utah as well as Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who gave an impassioned defense of Kavanaugh in a five-minute rant that singled out Democrats for purposely ensnaring him in a web of baseless sexual assault allegations to derail his confirmation.
One Republican senator, Rand Paul of Kentucky– who was severely injured over the summer when he was attacked by a crazed Left-wing neighbor, tweeted, “Yesterday there was an attempt to incite people by publishing the personal information of Senators – including home addresses- endangering them & their families. This should be investigated & the perpetrators punished. There is too much hatred and violence in politics these days.”

On Sunday, Graham appeared on Fox Business’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the doxxing, which almost certainly had to have come from a Democratic staffer as the Wikileaks page changes were made from a computer belonging to the U.S. House.
Graham said he’s not so much concerned about himself being doxxed (though he was concerned about his address being published) as he is that it’s becoming “the new norm” and would deter future witnesses before the Judiciary Committee.
“The people who did it, I hope they don’t get away with it,” he said.
They can’t be allowed to get away with it because such abuse of our system cannot be allowed to continue. If it is, the republic won’t survive.
